Mika&Me was founded by three women who understand the toll dry, sensitive skin can have on an individual and their family. It was developed out of need. When Liz's son developed dry, easily irriated skin, which started to impact his sleep, his comfort and his quality of life. Liz needed to find a product that she felt comfortable putting on Mika's delicate skin. She couldn't find anything, so she jumped down the research rabbit hole to find natural ingredients that have been shown to nourish, hydrate and soothe skin. Liz took these ingredients and developed, what is now called Mika&Me Revitalise and Restore ointment. It has completely transformed Mika's skin journey and we can't wait to hear about how much it helps you too.
Hi, I’m Liz. I am a Registered Nurse, specalised in skin and wound management. I also have a PhD in skin microcirculation and failure. Through my work, I’ve seen first-hand how debilitating dry, easily irrated skin can be to a person’s physical and mental health. However, it wasn’t until having my son Mika, and experiencing postpartum skin changes that I started to explore the health-related benefits of natural and naturally derived products. When Mika developed severely dry skin at 6 months old, I knew I didn’t want to use the common synthetic moisturisers or treatments available. So, I set to work researching natural ingredients, that were backed by evidence, and here we are. In my spare time I love hitting the beach and exploring the great outdoors with my family.
